GOLDEN CLAY INDUSTRIES
Golden Clay Industries Sdn Bhd is the first in Asia to deploy the latest Franco-German technology in the manufacturing of clay roof tiles. This sophisticated manufacturing plant, is equipped with TWO of the patented, computerised Hydrocasing Tunnel Kiln Firing System, which adopts the horizontal tiles firing in individual refractory H-supports. The GCI Tile is renowned for its dimensional accuracy and colour consistency.
THE PROCESS
1.The Quarry
Rich clay material is extracted and piled for aging before depositing in lorries to be sent to the plant.		  
2. Raw Materials Entry
The stored raw material is poured into the Mixer for compression and addition of water to achieve the correct moisture content.
  
3. The Extruder
Air is removed by shifting the material through a vacuum chamber and forced through the extruder at enormous pressure to form Clay bats.
 
4. The Cutter
Clay bats are cut to size to be pressed.
  
5. The Press
Clay bats are pressed to specific profile molds.
  
6. The Drier
Pressed tiles are fed to the Drier to eliminate all moisture content.
 

7.The Automated Handling and Transfer
Dried tiles are transfered automatically to the colouring unit for different colour & finishing selections.

  
8. The Kiln
Dried tiles are assembled in individual refractory H-supports to be fired at 1,060°C in the patented Hydrocasing Tunnel Kiln for high durability and excellent insulation properties.
  
9. The Packing
Fired tiles are passed through quality control and vacuum packed onto crates for easy handling.
 
   
10. Stocking
Packed goods are then transferred and stored at the Stockyard, ready for delivery.
  
11. Loading
Goods are loaded into containers for export.
