GCI Interlocking Clay Roofing Tiles Production Process

GCI's manufacturing plant, located in Yong Peng, Johor, Malaysia, is one of Asia's most sophisticated. Golden Clay Industries is the first in Asia to deploy the latest Franco-German technology in manufacturing of clay roofing tiles. Equipped with the patented, computerised Hydrocasing tunnel kiln firing system and horizontal tiles firing in individual refractory H-supports, GCI clay roofing tiles is renowed for its dimensional accuracy and colour consistency.

With this technology, it is not suprising that GCI is already exporting to 16 countries worldwide including the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Denmark, Taiwan and New Zealand.

GCI clay roofing tiles manufacturing process:


Step 1Arrow Step 1 - Clay bats from de-aring extruder.
Step 2Arrow Step 2 - Automatic feeding of clay bats to roof tile press.
Step 3Arrow Step 3 - Pressed wet tiles.
Step 4Arrow Step 4 - Automatic handing system for wet/dry tiles.
Step 5Arrow Step 5 - Patended hydrocasing tunnel klin fire tiles at 1,060°C for high durability and excellent insulation.
Step 6Arrow Step 6 - Fired tiles on individual refractory H-supports.
